Good bye all

just wanted to say a final goodbye before our internet gets disconnected and we move into new house.

My Wife is pregnant, wow!

the day i was told i was going to be d/f i my wife also did a test and found out she is pregnant.

yesterday she went to the doctor and she is already 9 weeks.

i can't think of a better way to move on and create a new and wonderful life.. i am 36, going on 21, and have a 19 yo step son and 13 yo step daughter that i love dearly.

Babies are indeed a wonderful way to celebrate life and move on with your life in a very positive way.

I have 2 girls who are the light of my life (and I still want 1 more). Many, many beautiful blessings to you and your family.

Making progress

so here is an update from a previous thread i posted about my parents, especially my mother.

last night, my husband and i were eating dinner at my parents house and all of sudden my mom whips out her bible and tells us to sit down because she wants to share some scriptures shes been researching.

come to find out about a month ago some elders stopped over at their house to talk to them about us, and how to deal with a disfellowshiped person.

This is wonderful, wonderful news!

I think the best, clearest sign is that they are thinking for themselves and not letting the Org be a subsitute for their conscience.

tt, yeah, thought about tht too after the fact.

When he called I was actually on the phone trying to get through customer service for our cable com and had just gotten cut off. So the phone rang and I didn't rec the #, when I picked it up and he ided himself, I thought it was another person I know by the same name. When Irealized who it was, I was at a loss for words. As I listened, I thought of 100 things I wanted to say, but the only thing I cared about was how was my grand niece who just had heart surgery. So I asked about her.

anyhow. I thought at first yeah, I'd frame my posts around what they might or might not read...

but what's the point? would it make a difference? is it worth the try?

Good answers. All over the board.

Since I da'ed I have sent one of my sisters a few emails. 2 were fairly fluffy and I think they were forwarded from someone else.

Yesterday I saw something on here about child abuse and copied a portion of it and sent it, I did this at my own risk that she would tell me to cut it out. Well, she did more then that. She went back to our other sister whose husband is an elder and had him call me to say that I am to have absolutely no contact with them.

I sent my sister one last email, basically letting her know (in my own way) there would be no contact.

Her husband sent one back that eluded to things that people have said to me on this and another forum.

Today I thought that I might just stop posting. But now I'm thinking, if they're watching, is there any way that I can use this as an oppurtunity to get to them? I do agree with you Sherry. I know many witnesses where the head of the house won't allow internet in the house.

Gimme your best excuses

ok folks, i know there are some creative people on this board so help me out here.

i'm successfully fading so far, but every now and again i get some well meaning zealot ask me about my missing the 5 weekly brainwashing sessions and the priviledge of hocking crap door to door.

as sort of a reverse reasoning book, lets see some good conversation stoppers that wont give away my position.

I was thinking along the lines of oweing someone a lot of money and asking them for a loan. In fact go to a meeting and ask everyone you see for money.. Suddenly no one will miss you.

I have seen that happen. Especially if you ask for a sum of $ that people are uncomfortable to even think of. meagan

u: Uh, yup everything is fine. (look nervously around you and behind your shoulder)

elder (oonp): Is there anything we can do to help?

u: Uh, (look both ways real quick and behind your shoulder) yeah, I have this person stalking me, (keep looking nervously around) He is looking to do bodily harm and has showed up like everywhere, the LAST time I came to the congregation Service meeting, when I came out After, he followed me home. I'm really spiritualy deprived, perhaps the next meeting I come to, we'll swap clothes and he can follow you to my house. He's really pissed, I owe him about $5,000. Can you help?

Everyone was jealous of the study group that got to be near the sista who knew all about wild edible plants. They all wanted to live near her in case they all had to flee suburbia and survive in the wilderness. (She had this knowledge by reading a book about it, but it didn't occur to anyone to buy or read a book about it themselves.)

That wouldn't be such a bad idea.

Although I'd want to by the sister who had a good supply of doritos and pepsi.

Stress can get me to craving junk food

and what would be more stressful than being with jws every waking moment in the wilderness?
